This Privacy Policy explains how Amethyst AI (“Amethyst AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile applications, including Vigor and Valor where applicable, our websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By downloading or using a Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using the Service. This policy is intended to provide the disclosures commonly required for applications distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Depending on the Service and the features you use, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, organization, account credentials, profile information, support requests, feedback, and other information you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically

We may collect device and usage information such as device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, diagnostic information, crash logs, and interactions with the Service. We do not collect precise location unless the Service clearly requests permission and you grant it.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from an organization that provides you access to a Service, authentication providers you use to sign in, and service providers that help us operate the Service. We do not receive your Apple or Google account password.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide, personalize, maintain, secure, and improve the Services; create and manage accounts; authenticate users; process requests; provide customer support; send service and security notices; diagnose errors; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, service improvement, and reporting. We do not use sensitive information for targeted advertising without the disclosures and consent required by applicable law.

3. Permissions and device features

A Service may request access to features such as notifications, camera, photos, files, microphone, contacts, Bluetooth, or location. Each permission is requested only when needed for a described feature. You can manage or revoke permissions in your device settings, although some features may not work without them.

4. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that host data, deliver email, provide analytics, process support requests, prevent fraud, or otherwise operate the Services. These providers may access information only to perform services for us and must protect it under their agreements.

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, Amethyst AI, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing without your consent.

5. Third-party services and advertising

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. If an app uses analytics, crash reporting, advertising, payments, maps, authentication, or other third-party SDKs, the relevant providers may process information as described in their policies and in the app’s store disclosures.

Our Services are not currently intended to serve personalized advertising based on your activity across unrelated apps or websites. If this changes, we will update this policy and the applicable consent or privacy choices.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You may update or correct account information, opt out of non-essential promotional communications, manage device permissions, and request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate exceptions.

To request account deletion, email amethyst.ai.org@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and include the app name and your deletion request. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting your account may not remove information that we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.

9. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without legally valid parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it when appropriate.

10. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and protect information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Regional privacy notices

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other local privacy laws. These may include rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, portability, and appeal a decision. Contact us to exercise these rights. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

12. App Store and Google Play disclosures

Apple and Google may process information about your device, account, purchases, and app downloads under their own privacy policies. Payments and subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are governed by the applicable store’s terms and billing systems. We do not receive your full payment-card number from the app stores.

Our data practices may also be summarized in the Google Play Data safety section and Apple App Store privacy labels. Those disclosures are intended to complement this policy; this policy controls if there is a difference in wording.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use after the effective date means the updated policy applies to your use of the Services.
